Gmail not working

Google LLC has changed the way the world used to communicate. Since its inception, it has launched various services like youtube, google docs, google play, google drive and one of its products is Gmail. Gmail provides the service of sending and receiving electronic mails and has many more features, Gmail provides the free storage of 15GB which means if you use more than 15GB storage then you need to pay nominal amount to Google.But 15GB is sufficient limit for a user.

You can use your Gmail account in your laptop which has Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, And on Android run devices. But what to do if your Gmail account is not working on any of your device, be that iPhone, Mac, chrome. There are certain troubleshooting steps that you need to follow if your Gmail Account is not working.

 If you have your Gmail account and you face the problem of Gmail not working, then, go through following steps to troubleshoot the error:

Gmail not working on Chrome:

1. Open your Chrome browser.
2. Click on More icon , which is at the top right corner of the chrome.
3. Click on More tools.
4. In More tools option, select Clear Browsing Data
5. You are shown the option of Clear Browsing Data, here, you are shown a timeline of clearing the data. Select the time upto which you need to clear browsing data.
6. Click on Clear Data. This clears your “Cache and Cookies”.

Gmail is not working on iPhone or iPad :

You can go for following steps if Gmail is not working on iPhone or iPad:

1. Try to send or receive EMail from other accounts from the same device. Then, go to next step.
2. Log out from your Gmail account and add it again.
3. Go to Settings>Mail.
4. Contacts>Calendars>Add account>Google. Enter your account information.

Try following steps if your Gmail account is the only one with the issue:

• Open a web browser in your device.
• Log into Gmail.
• Go to the link  https://accounts.google.com/b/0/DisplayUnlockCaptcha, and press Continue.
• Now, go back to your mobile client and try again to access your EMails.

Gmail not working on Mac:

1. Check if your computer is connected to internet, if it is, then, either the issue is with the provider of EMail service or some Settings are missing or outdated in the Accounts section of Mail preferences.(Mail> Preferences).
2. If you are connected to the internet,but the connection timed out, there could be service outage on the side of EMail provider.You can solve this issue by contacting them or checking their website for system status page. There is an option of Status pages available for Gmail and Outlook.
3. If Mail asks for your password, then, there might be the case that you are entering the wrong password every time( this could be the issue of case sensitivity i.e. Caps lock issue), or someone has hacked into your account and changed the password. You can reset your password by going to account settings and follow the instructions to change your password.

If mail says that your account appears to be offline:

Even if you are connected to the internet and your account is in offline mode,then go through following steps:

1. View your current settings in Mail.
2. Go to the Mail menu, choose Preferences from the Mail menu.
3. Click Accounts , then, select your EMail account.
4. Use “Mail Settings Lookup” to view the settings

If you are still unable to send or receive EMail:

1. Make sure if you have latest MAC software updates.
2. If you see the message “Network offline” of Login failed , then, click on the message to see more details about the issue.
